Bath Product Review

Bath isn’t always a fun time for our fur babies but these products and tips I am about to mention will definitely help and make bath time a little more fun!

Firstly, I understand many pet parents always question how often they should be giving their pals a bath. I say about twice a month, unless you are a frequent hiker or adventurer, then you should always comb and give your pal a bath when you come home just to wash off any thing that might cause irritation to your pet, and to get rid of any possible parasites.

If your dog tends to have itchy skin, this doesn’t mean you should wash them more. Washing them more can actually end up making the skin more irritated.

With my my fur babies, since they all tend to have pretty itchy skin we LOVE the Burt’s Bees dog product line. We use the itch shampoo ( as shown in the picture with the adorable Koda bear ☺️ ). We wash them about twice a month and when we put the soap on first. Then I like to let it sit for about 2-3 minutes and let it soak in, or comb it through their fur to make sure it truly gets on their skin. After, we rinse throughly because leaving any left over soap on their skin can also cause them to itch and have some irritation.

Burt’s Bees has a HUGE line of grooming products, all of which I think are truly amazing. All the products are natural which is really nice, and helps my puppers’ skin from getting even more irritated. Besides the shampoo I love the itch spray soothing spray. It smells amazing because there is honeysuckle in it which is also very soothing and hydrating for the skin. I use this for in between baths just 2-3 sprays maybe once a week for the in between weeks should suffice. Another spray of theirs I like to use is the itch/ hot spot spray. This one has chamomile, which is also nice and soothing for itching and irritated skin. I tend to switch off between sprays just so the puppers can have a variety of natural products that will help the skin.

The amount of products in the Burt’s Bees dog line is incredible. They offer conditioners, ear cleaner, shampoo, deodorizing sprays, hypoallergenic wipes, and anything else you can think of for all the puppets with dry, irritated, and or itching skin. I HIGHLY encourage anyone and everyone to check it out your local pet store in the grooming section, and stay tuned because it might be coming to Pawsitivity Boutique 😉
